Inspired as a young girl by Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James, Starke infuses her performances with the warmth, joy and spark she felt first listening to them.
Many great Latin artists also influence her style and work such as Rocio Jurado, Celia Cruz, Julio Jaramillo and the Buena Vista Social Club, amongst others.
Stark has studied for years with the great Atarah Hazzan, principal dramatic soprano at the Metropolitan, to perfect her coloratura soprano voice and more than a four octave range.
Stark's performance style is unforgettable and uplifting with her electric interpretations, graceful movements, audience connection and soul-filling voice.
Her repertoire spans from the 1920's to the present day, including the Great American Songbook, soul, standards, show tunes, jazz, golden oldies, rock, pop, and opera. She is also fluent and sings extensively in Spanish, including boleros, salsa, tango, cha-cha, and merengue.
She loves to share the music and leave each heart in the audience brimming with joie de vivre.
